Nationwide Fire Door Inspections
Regulatory Fire Door Inspections carried out by Certified Fire Door Inspectors
In the UK, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 recommends that fire doors be inspected every six months. However, more frequent inspections might be necessary in high-traffic areas where the doors are used more frequently or exposed to harsher conditions
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states the Responsible Person for non-domestic buildings must ensure fire doors and frames are correctly installed so they can effectively prevent the spread of fire
Fire resisting doors are specifically designed to prevent or slow down fire, smoke and toxic gasses spreading through the property and are designed to protect lives, buildings and neighbouring properties
In many cases the performance of fire doors has been compromised, either by general wear and tear in high traffic areas, lack of scheduled maintenance or because door furniture or ironmongery has been changed or replaced over the years for non compliant components meaning that this could lead to early failure in the event of fire.
Regular scheduled inspections will identify any issues with your fire doors and provide detailed recommendations of remedial work required to achieve compliance ensuring that people in your building remain suitably protected

Certified Inspectors
Our inspectors are fully trained, certified and experienced ensuring the highest standards in fire door inspections. Reports will be submitted once the inspection has been completed or on a pre-agreed schedule for larger projects. PDF files detailing the full inspection will be available for every door set inspected.
Throwing perfectly good doors away because there may be some non-compliances is very poor practice. We are not a fire door supplier or installer and provide and inspection only service. You can rest assured if a door can be remediated to achieve compliance rather than be replaced, that is the recommendation we will make.
